Drew Daughtery’s 15-minute seminars, part of the Racing to Relaxing Socials, focus on one specific rule observed during the day’s races. This innovative format, first developed at GMAC and successfully introduced to sailing clubs across the country, is designed to enhance understanding and practical application.
Drew Daughtery, a widely respected figure in the sailing community, was recently honored with the GMSC Northern Star Lifetime Achievement Award for his unparalleled contributions to the club. His sailing accomplishments include four Y-Flyer National Championship titles and an astounding 16 GMSC Centerboard Championships, underscoring his expertise and commitment to the sport.
As an educator, Drew combines his vast experience with a unique ability to make learning enjoyable. His One Rule at a Time approach focuses on a single rule through real-life examples, creating an interactive and accessible experience. “By concentrating on just one rule, we create a space for deeper understanding and better application on the course,” Drew explained.
