It’s time to roll up our sleeves and get GMSC in shipshape for another great season! On Saturday, April 26, we’re inviting all members to join us for our annual Spring Clean-Up. From clearing leaves to prepping boats and tidying up the clubhouse, there’s a job for everyone—and every helping hand counts.
🗓 When and Where
🔧 Crew Assignments
We’ve got a range of tasks to match every interest and energy level:
-
Grounds Crew: Clear trash, leaves, and debris to keep the club looking sharp.
-
Equipment Crew: Help clean up club boats including Spirit, Scout, Ranger, and Tank.
-
Sunfish & Opti Crew: Prepare boats and organize the Junior Learn to Sail area and shed.
-
Clubhouse Crew: Tidy and organize the interior of the clubhouse.
-
Kiko’s Corner Crew: Spruce up the area surrounding Kiko’s Corner.
-
Support Crew: Help by bringing donuts, picking up pizza, or supplying bottled water. If interested, email Mary at mary.michaels@windstream.com.
🧰 What to Bring
Please bring work gloves, a rake, a leaf blower, or any other tools you think might help. Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty—boots are a good idea.
🍕 Pizza to Follow!
Once the work is done, we’ll gather at the pavilion for a well-earned pizza lunch and a chance to unwind with fellow members.
Spring Clean-Up is a great way to give back to the club, meet new faces, and get ready for everything the season has in store—from racing and JLTS to relaxing weekends at the lake.
We hope to see you there!
