Get ready for the most festive regatta of the year! The 2025 Fall Keelboat Regatta, set for December 6–7, brings two days of racing, laughter, and holiday spirit to Lake Maumelle.
This year’s theme is the “Christmas Vacation Regatta”—think Cousin Eddie meets Clark Griswold on the racecourse!Sailors are encouraged to decorate their boats with boughs of holly, twinkling lights, inflatable Santas, or anything that shows off their holiday cheer.
After racing on Saturday, everyone’s invited to the GMSC Holiday Party at the clubhouse (around 5:30 p.m., or whenever the lights get untangled). The evening includes a hearty dinner, a Christmas cookie smackdown (contact Mary Michaels if you’d like to enter), and a club gear raffle, all paired with good company and plenty of sailing stories.
GMSC is also spreading cheer off the water by supporting the Roland Crisis Center, which has served the Roland community since 1994. Please bring socks, gloves, coats, blankets, nonperishable foods, or toiletries—gently used items are welcome. All raffle proceeds will be donated directly to the Crisis Center.
